CESSNA O-2A COMBAT HISTORY •

Cessna O-2A. Total IRAN over a three year period in 2015-17. Engines were overhauled by Performance Engines with all upgrades.The airplane is painted in the same color scheme it flew in during it's tours in Laos patroling the "Trail". The airplane has flown less that 30 hours since it was restored. This is not your usual Skymaster, this is a documented Warbird. Garmin 430. In storage in Northern Nevada for the last three years. 337 REAR ENGINE COOLING MOD •

Our rear engine cooling modification for Cessna Skymasters improves air flow to & thru the rear engine cylinder cooling fins.
The rear engines on Skymasters usually run hotter than the front engine.
Excess Heat is the Air cooled engines worst enemy. We have designed scoops for the top of the rear cowl & louvers on the lower rear cowl. By using 2 scoops & multiple louvers we are able to get the operating temperature of the rear engine to within a few degrees of the operating temperatures of the front engine. This reduction of operating temperature increases the durability of the rear engine.
